Police news – Jan. 16
BOGGS TOWNSHIP — State police at Rockview investigated two cases of driving under the influence that took place along South Eagle Valley Road in Boggs Township, Centre County around 11 a.m. on Jan. 12.
According to police, Aaron Thomas, 28, of Mill Hall was pulled over in his 1995 Ford pickup truck. He was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs. Charges are pending a toxicology report.
Later, a 32-year-old Lock Haven man came to move Thomas’ truck. He was having trouble with the standard transmission and the trooper went to assist. It was discovered that the man was also under the influence of drugs with a DUI-related suspended license. He was also arrested for DUI.
BELLEFONTE — State police at Rockview investigated a case of sexual assault that took place at SCI-Benner on Nov. 11. According to police, a 57-year-old Bellefonte man was the victim of a sexual assault.
The investigation is ongoing.
Weapons, drug charges
CENTRE HALL — A Port Matilda man was arrested at 1:19 a.m. on Jan. 14 in Centre Hall.
According to state police at Rockview, Joshua Rearick, 36, was pulled over in a 1995 Chevrolet Camaro. Rearick was found to be in possession of brass knuckles and drug paraphernalia. Charges are pending through magisterial district justice 49-3-04.
