Two-vehicle crash

BELLEFONTE — A two-vehicle accident was investigated by state police at Rockview on March 16 at SCI-Benner.

According to police, a 2018 Jeep Cherokee being driven by Shayne Bierly, 30, of Pleasant Gap, was traveling around the perimeter of SCI-Benner when he failed to negotiate a right-hand turn in the roadway. The Cherokee traveled through a fence and struck a 2019 Mitsubishi. According to police, Bierly left the scene of the accident. It was reported approximately 24 hours after it took place.

Both vehicles sustained minor damage. Bierly did not report any injuries as a result of the accident.

The accident took place around 9:40 a.m.

One-vehicle crash

BELLEFONTE — A one-vehicle accident called state police at Rockview to the scene on Feb. 22.

According to police, a 2017 Ford Escape was traveling along state Route 144 near Harmony Forge West Road in Boggs Township, Centre County when it went off the roadway and rolled. The Escape sustained minor front end damage and a flat tire. Police were assisted at the scene by Rich’s Towing.

The accident took place around 6:11 p.m. Police did not release the name of the driver involved in the crash.

PFA violation

BELLEFONTE — A PFA violation was investigated by state police at Rockview on Feb. 28.

According to police, the incident took place along Poplar Drive in Benner Township, Centre County. Following an investigation, no charges were filed.

Theft investigated

STATE COLLEGE — State police at Rockview investigated a case of theft that took place along Rockview Place in Benner Township, Centre County on Feb. 26.

The case involved a 38-year-old Bellefonte man.

The incident took place around noon.

One-vehicle accident

SNOW SHOE — A one-vehicle crash was investigated by state police at Rockview on Feb. 13.

According to police, a 2015 Subaru Impreza slid on ice while it was traveling along Interstate 80 East in Snow Shoe Township, Centre County and went off the roadway and into a ditch. The vehicle sustained a flat tire and had to be towed from the scene by Rees’ Towing. Police did not release the name of the driver, but no injuries were reported in the mishap.

The accident took place around 4:38 p.m.
