Fast acting responses from area fire crews saved a house at 17 Spring Street in North Bend just after 5 p.m. Monday evening. The fire was held to the porch and knocked down in just minutes as crews were in scene in minutes. The house sits in site of Chapman Township Volunteer Fire Company’s Station which likely helped to save the house from any real damage. A person in the area called 911 after seeing smoke coming from the house.
