BELLEFONTE — State police at Rockview were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash that took place along Interstate 80 on Aug. 2.
According to police, a 2015 Toyota Prius being driven by Annette Coste, 30, of Tariffville, Conn., left the roadway for an ambulance with its lights on. As she was attempting to re-enter the roadway, she struck a 2000 Peterbilt 379 being driven by Mark Nicholas, 50, of New Columbia, Pa.
There were no injuries reported in the crash, which took place around 3 a.m.
BELLEFONTE — A case of drug possession was investigated by state police at Rockview on July 31.
According to police, a traffic stop was initiated around 2:20 a.m. A 35-year-old man from Minersville, Pa., was found to be under the influence of medical marijuana and in possession of marijuana that was in violation of the medical marijuana act.
The driver was arrested for DUI and drug-related offenses.
MILLHEIM — State police at Rockview investigated a two-vehicle accident that took place along Penn Street in Millheim Borough, Centre County on July 31.
According to police, a 1978 Ford Ranger being driven by Kenneth Lloyd, 40, of Coburn, was traveling South on Penn Street when it traveled off the roadway and struck a legally-parked 2015 Ford Explorer.
Lloyd was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was arrested for driving under the influence. Charges are pending through magisterial district justice 49-3-04.
No injuries were reported in the accident, which took place shortly after midnight. Police were assisted at the scene by Kuppel’s Towing and the Millheim Fire Department.
Theft by deception
CENTRE HALL — State police at Rockview investigated a case of theft by deception that took place along General Potter Highway in Potter Township, Centre County on July 28.
According to police, someone filed a false unemployment claim in the name of a 62-year-old Centre Hall woman.
The investigation is ongoing.
