Theft of vehicle parts

BEECH CREEK — State police at Lamar investigated a case of theft that took place along Maple Avenue in Beech Creek Borough, Clinton County, on Jan. 20.

According to police, someone stole a catalytic converter from a 2004 Honda CR-V, while it was parked. The theft took place sometime between Jan. 12 and Jan. 15, police said. The CR-V is owned by a 37-year-old Beech Creek woman.

The catalytic converter is valued at $150.

One-vehicle crash

JERSEY SHORE — State police at Lamar were called to the scene of a one-vehicle crash that took place along Interstate 80 in Greene Township, Clinton County, on Jan. 23.

According to police, a 2005 Audi A4 being driven by Lisa Rattie, 50, of State College was traveling along I-80 when she lost control of her car. It began to fishtail, left the roadway and struck a culvert. The vehicle was disabled as a result of the crash and had to be towed from the scene by Halfmoon Towing.

There were no injuries in the 3:10 p.m. crash.

One-vehicle accident

MILL HALL — State police at Lamar investigated a one-vehicle crash that took place along state Route 120 in Bald Eagle Township, Clinton County on Jan. 23.

According to police, a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu being driven by Billie Francis, 39, of Renovo, was traveling along the roadway when she lost control of the vehicle. It left the roadway and struck the guiderail. The vehicle became disabled and had to be towed from the scene by Martin Motors.

Francis was not hurt in the 7:58 p.m. crash.

One-vehicle crash

MILL HALL — State police at Lamar investigated a one-vehicle crash that took place along Kryder Road in Lamar Township, Clinton County on Jan. 23.

According to police, a 2016 Honda Accord being driven by Alexander Dalton, 19, of Cooksville, Md., was traveling North on Kryder Road when he attempted to slow down for a stop sign. The vehicle slid off the roadway due to slippery road conditions, down a six-foot drop off and onto its roof.

No injuries were reported. Martin Motors assisted PSP at the scene. The crash took place at 3:21 p.m.

PFA violation

LOCK HAVEN — On Jan. 20, Joshua Culver, 31, of Lock Haven, was arrested for a PFA violation after contacting the plaintiff in the PFA while being prohibited from doing so, according to the Lock Haven Police Department.

Harassment

DUNNSTOWN — State police at Lamar were dispatched to Woodward Drive in Woodward Township for a domestic disturbance on Jan. 23.

A 36-year-old woman from Lock Haven and 43-year-old man from Lock Haven were engaged in the disturbance. Both parties were charged with harassment through District Court 25-3-01, police said in their report.

Single-vehicle crash

LOGANTON — On Jan. 24, state police at Lamar responded to a single-vehicle crash at Interstate 80 West milemarker 88.5. The operator of an Infinity Q50, Clarence Allen, 25, of Brunswick, Ohio, was traveling in the left lane while a tractor trailer combo was traveling in the right lane. According to police, the tractor trailer swerved slightly toward the left lane but did not enter the left lane.

Allen subsequently swerved to the left as the left side tires drove into a slushy/snowy mix along the shoulder, police said. He attempted to steer back onto the roadway, however, lost control and spun clockwise across both lanes of traffic, crashing into the guide rail off the right side of the road, police said.

Allen proceeded to spin two more times and came to a stop along the guide rail.

According to police, there were no injuries. Bressler’s Towing assisted on the scene.
