Former nurse’s aide charged with theft

JERSEY SHORE — Joanna Marie Beck, 33, of Avis, has been charged with theft and furnishing false information in a document after allegedly stealing two oxycodone pills from the Promedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (the former Manor Care facility) at 1008 Thompson St. in Jersey Shore in mid-March, according to Tiadaghton Valley Region police.

At the time, Beck was a nurse’s aide at the center, but has since been terminated, police said.

She is alleged to have falsely recorded in a patient’s file that she administered two oxycodone pills to the patient, police said.

She is free on $25,000 bail after waiving her preliminary hearing before District Judge Denise Dieter.

Hit and run

LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven City Police reported a white van traveling east along the 200 block of West Bald Eagle Street struck a parked vehicle at 3:39 p.m. on June 22 and continued to drive from the scene.

Theft from vehicle

LOCK HAVEN — Items were stolen out of a vehicle in the 10 block of West Water Street between 7:30 p.m. June 5 and 9 a.m. June 6, Lock Haven City Police said.

Two-vehicle crash

LOCK HAVEN — No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash along West Bald Eagle Street on June 22, Lock Haven City Police said.

At 4:18 p.m., a vehicle was exiting the Weis parking lot when it pulled into the path of another vehicle traveling east on Bald Eagle street, police said.

Two-vehicle crash

LOCK HAVEN — Two drivers were cited following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of East Walnut and Vesper street, Lock Haven City Police said.

At 4:10 p.m. on June 23, the driver of unit one was traveling west on East Walnut Street and turned onto Vesper, police said.

As the vehicle turned, it struck another vehicle traveling east on East Walnut Street with was turning onto Vesper, police said.

Both drivers were cited for turning movements and required signals as a result of the crash, police said.

Box truck hits power lines

LOCK HAVEN — At 5:36 p.m on June 23, Lock Haven City police received a report of a box truck hitting live power lines in the 900 block of West Third Street while making a delivery.

According to police, the power lines fell on two residence and PP&L were called to the scene.

Driver cited

LOCK HAVEN — One driver was cited following a two vehicle crash near the intersection of Bellefonte Avenue and Commerce Street, Lock Haven City Police said.

Unit one was traveling east on Bellefonte Avenue on June 24 at 2:49 p.m. when it entered the turn lane to make a left turn, police said.

The vehicle struck another vehicle which was traveling west on Bellefonte Avenue and had the right-of-way, police said.

The driver of unit one, name not listed, was cited for failure to yield to oncoming traffic when making a left turn, police said.

Stop sign violation

LOCK HAVEN — A driver was cited for stop sign violation following a two vehicle crash at the intersection of East Church and Hanna streets on June 24, Lock Haven City Police said.

At 3:45 p.m., unit one was traveling east on East Church Street and entered the intersection, causing a crash with another vehicle traveling north on Hanna Street, police said.

The driver of unit one, name not listed was facing a stop sign and entered the intersection without clearance, police said.

Three-vehicle crash

LOCK HAVEN — A three car chain reaction crash occurred on June 25 at 11:46 a.m., Lock Haven City Police said.

According to police, the crash occurred on Commerce Street when the first vehicle stopped for a vehicle turning into a business, police said.
