LH YMCA getting a makeover
LOCK HAVEN — Change is happening at the Lock Haven Branch YMCA!
Renovations and updates are being made throughout the facility that include a lobby makeover, the addition of a personal training room, a more efficient use of space and even some new equipment and classes.
The lobby features a fresh coat of paint, new lighting, high top tables and other new furniture to offer a more welcoming, comfortable atmosphere.
Rooms were switched around adding space for new equipment in the weight room and new paint, lighting and ceiling fans to the group exercise room. A space is also being created for personal trainers to help their clients’ progress through their fitness journey.
“Our recent merger with the River Valley Regional YMCA has helped us to jumpstart all of these advances, explained District Executive Director Corinne Amrom.
“These changes will definitely help us to better serve our members and our community,” explained Beth Bartlett, associate executive director.
The Lock Haven Branch YMCA is also excited to announce the addition of Silver Sneakers classes to their group exercise schedule. Two instructors recently completed their certifications so active older adults in the Lock Haven area have more options to stay active and fit.
“It’s all about creating opportunities for our members and our community to stay active, make new friends, and have fun,” added Program Director Sara Galbraith.
