Texas Lunch — Home of the ‘growler’

LAURA JAMESON / THE EXPRESS Mary Ann and Earl Streck talk with server Janice Gray at Texas Lunch one afternoon.

LOCK HAVEN — The Texas Lunch is one of local residents’ favorite dining spots.

Whether you’re stopping for a breakfast of steak and eggs, a “growler” and home cut french fries for lunch, or a full course dinner fit for a king, one thing’s for sure. You won’t go away hungry.

Their famous growlers are hot dogs, topped off with their “secret” hamburger sauce, onion and mustard.

They are a favorite for local residents and also for those who stop by every time they pass through town. Some travelers even go out of their way for a growler.

If you haven’t yet had a growler… it’s about time you do.

Once you eat one, you’ll find yourself going back to the Texas Lunch for more.
