New Hope Fellowship welcomes new spiritual leader

LAMAR — New Hope Fellowship has a new Pastor. Henry (JR) Packer Jr., wife Rhonda and son Mackeson have accepted the call for Henry to be the part-time pastor at the church.

Henry and Rhonda are native to this area. Henry is a 1990 graduate of Bald Eagle-Nittany High School and Rhonda is a 1990 graduate of Lock Haven High School. The Packer family now lives in Loganton.

Henry served as an assistant pastor at Sandy Lake Wesleyan Church in Sandy Lake, Pa. for three years and as a volunteer pastor for three years.

He graduated from Pennsylvania College of Technology with an Associate of Applied Science in the occupational therapy assistant program in 1994, and from Indiana Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies in 2011.

He is the director of rehabilitation at Haven Skilled Rehab and Nursing, part of UPMC Susquehanna Lock Haven.

Henry and Rhonda say they are excited to serve the community and help people experience the life-changing transformation of the Gospel of Christ.

The church invites everyone to join the congregation, with the service beginning at 9:30 a.m. The church is at 6436 Nittany Valley Drive (Route 64), between Mill Hall and Lamar. For information, visit newhopefellowshipocp.org.
