CASTANEA — Faith United Methodist Church in Castanea will have an Election Day soup and bake sale at the Castanea polls in the fire hall on McElhattan Avenue from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Tuesday Nov. 6.

The soup choices are vegetable beef and ham and bean. Soup will cost $2.25 a pint and $5 a quart. Hoagies are $5 each.

FIRM in Christ to

hold monthly meetings

LOCK HAVEN – The church planting ministry of FIRM in Christ is looking to form a new church in Lock Haven.

All interested area residents are invited to contact them for more details. They are hoping to begin meeting on Sundays by mid to late November.

to host Christmas concert

LOCK HAVEN — A Christmas Concert presented by Elaine Frederick Barth will take place Sunday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. at First Church of Christ, 330 N. Vesper Street.

Special guests include trumpeter Chiz Rider, Kim Feerrar, Cathy Winslow, Esther Salmon and the Kid Notes.

welcome new pastor

FLEMINGTON — Flemington United Methodist Church will welcome it’s new pastor Rick Conklin on Sunday Nov. 4 with a Thanksgiving Covered Dish meal after their regular service.

Pastor Rick started the first Sunday in July.

LOCK HAVEN — St. Luke’s United Church of Christ will be holding its All Saints service this Sunday during its 10:45 a.m. worship service.

All those members who have passed on in the past year will be honored and remembered.

LOCK HAVEN — Holy Spirit Parish will be hosting a Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lock Haven Catholic School gymnasium, 311 W. Water St., Lock Haven. Lunch will be available Saturday and a continental breakfast is offered on Sunday.

MILL HALL — St. Luke’s Church of Christ will be having a soup sale. Pick up will be at the church Saturday, Nov. 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Soup is $5 a quart and soups offered are ham and bean, chicken corn, and vegetable beef.

Main St., Jersey Shore, on Tuesday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the door at a donation of $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Children under four eat free. Fall Food Collection

LOCK HAVEN — St. Luke’s United Church of Christ will hold a Fall Food Collection beginning Oct. 15 and running through Nov. 5. Various foods will be collected each week and will benefit the Lock Haven Women’s Center.

Zion Church raises

money for mission trip

ZION — Zion Community Church is having a garage, soup and bake sale today from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. to raise money for ten members who will be going on a mission trip to Zambia, Africa next year with Haven of Hope.

All the proceeds from the sale will go towards the trip.
