North Central Night of Worship

MILL HALL — Worship leaders from across all Tri-County Churches will come to their North Central campus, 205 Main St., Mill Hall, to kick off their first North Central Worship.

The event starts at 6 p.m. and Kids Rock will be availalbe for ages birth through first grade.

All are welcome to attend.

Nittany Players present:

Passion Play

PHILIPSBURG — The Nittany Players, a cast of 25 performers, will present the Passion Play: Christ Lives, at the Roland Theater, 127 N. Front St., Philipsburg on Sunday, April 7 at 3 p.m. and Good Friday.

They will also perform on Good Friday, April 19 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Snydertown.

The play portrays the announcement of Christ by John the Baptist, the Last Supper, the Betrayal of Christ by Judas, the Denial of Peter and the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Christ.

This is the 42nd the players have presented the performance in various churches across the area.

The play Christ Lives is presented twice each year during the Easter Season and has several members who have been involved since the event began.

The cast belong to 11 different churchs in and around the Nittany Valley area with members from many different walks of life and have performed in different denominations.

Everyone is welcome to attend.

Fundraiser dinner at Trinity UM

BELLEFONTE — Trinity United Methodist Church, 128 W. Howard St., will be hosting a dinner to raise funds for a mission trip to Africa for Rieli Redman, a senior at Grace Prep High School.

The dinner will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 30.

Tickets cost $9 for adults and $6 for kids 12 and under.

Soups, salads, bread and a dessert will be available and attendees have a chance to win a gift basket.

Take out will be available.

Combined worship service

LOCK HAVEN — On Sunday, March 31 the Covenant and Faith UMC Charge will be having a combined worship service at Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven at 10:30 a.m. with a dish to pass meal following the service.

LOCK HAVEN — Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., is discontinuing their soup sales until September.

They thank everyone that purchased their soup and made their sale a great success.

Lenten services

LAMAR — The Nittany Valley Fellowship churches will be holding Lenten services for the next three Sundays at Lamar United Methodist Church, 5029 Nittany Valley Dr., Mill Hall.

Services will begin at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Holy Spirit fish fry

in full swing, ends April 12

LOCK HAVEN — Holy Spirit Parish offers its weekly Lenten Fish Fry on Fridays, with the next one scheduled for March 29. The last fish fry of the season will be April 12.

The meal will be available at St. Agnes Parish Center, 3 E. Walnust St. The center’s dining room will be open from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and take-outs will start at 4 p.m. and be available until 6:30. They are $11, with the fried oyster meal $1 more. A child’s or petite meal is offered for $6.
