Missionaries to lead worship at Beech Creek Wesleyan

BEECH CREEK- Beech Creek Wesleyan Church, 217 Main St., Beech Creek, will host Michael and Carmela Reimer on Sunday, May 5 at p.m.

Michael and Carmela are full-time intercessory missionaries at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, Mo.

They are passionate about leading the nations in worship and prayer. They will be leading in worship and then sharing about the Call of God on their lives.

An offering will be received for the Reimers.

Nittany Valley Fellowship meeting

LAMAR — Nittany Valley Fellowship will be holding a meeting on Monday, May 6 at 7 p.m. at Lamar United Methodist Church, 5029 Nittany Valley Dr., Mill Hall.

Blessing of the animals

AVIS — Avis United Methodist Church, 215 Prospect Ave., Avis, will be hosting their annual blassing of the animals on May 11 from 9 a.m. until noon.

Those interested in participating are asked to bring their pet in a carrier or on a leash for safety.

Gospel concert at McElhattan UM

McELHATTAN — McElhattan United Methodist Church will be hosting a Spring Gospel Concert with music performed by the Joe Murray Band on Sunday, May 5.

The music will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the cost to attend is simply a donation. Refreshments will be available before the concert.

Spaghetti dinner at Trinity UM

BELLEFONTE — Trinity United Methodist Church, 128 W. Howard St., Bellefonte will hold a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, May 18 from 4 to 7 p.m.

The cost is a donation to the church. Take out will be available.

Hymn sing at Nittany Valley Fellowship

CLINTONDALE — Nittany Valley Fellowship will be hosting a hymn sing on Sunday, May 5 at Clintondale United Methodist Church, 103 Fishing Creek Rd., Mill Hall.

The event will begin at 7 p.m. and free of charge but an offering will be taken up during the service.

Everyone is welcome to attend.

Mother’s Day luncheon

FLEMINGTON– St. Luke’s United Church of Christ will be holding a Mother’s Day luncheon on Sunday, May 12 after the 10:45 a.m. worship service in the fellowship hall.

All are invited.

Spring festival at Phelps Chapel

AVIS — Phelps Chapel, 68 Phelps Chapel Rd., Avis, will be hosting a spring festival on May 18 starting at 11 a.m.

Homemade ice cream, potato salad, baked beans, hamburg barbeque, hot dogs and desert will be available.

Election Day Supper at First UM

JERSEY SHORE — First United Methodist Church, 236 S. Main St., Jersey Shore will hold a Primary Election Day supper on Tuesday, May 21, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Baked steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables, rolls and butter and homemade cake will be available. Tickets are $8 for adults, $3 for children ages 6 to 10 and children five and under eat free. Tickets will be sold at the door and takeout meals will be available.

‘The Story’ at First Church of Christ

LOCK HAVEN — First Church of Christ, 330 N. Vesper St., Lock Haven, will begin a series of worship services called “The Story,” beginning Sunday at 9 a.m. worship.

Sunday school will begin at 10:30 a.m. Everyone is invited to worship, free parking is available and a nursery is provided.

Flemington UM to hold Church Family Day

FLEMINGTON — Flemington United Methodist Church will celebrate Church Family Day at 11 a.m. on Sunday with a light lunch following the service.

ORIOLE — The Oriole United Methodist Church, 39 Main Rd., Jersey Shore, will be holding a yardsale on Friday, May 10, and Saturday, May 11. The sale will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days with baked goods also available for purchase.
