End of summer coffee house

MACKEYVILLE — The final Mackeyville United Methodist Church Summer Coffee House will be Saturday evening, Sept. 14 at 7 p.m.

There will be lots of special music, including Christians With Rhythm. Pastor Don Longmore will be the guest speaker.

Bring your lawn chair and enjoy the fellowship with old and new friends around the fire ring while they toast marshmallows and make s’mores.

Covenant and Faith UM to hold Fifth Sunday service

LOCK HAVEN — Covenant and Faith United Methodist Churches will be holding a combined worship service at Covenant United Methodist, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven, on Sept. 29 at 8:45 a.m.

A breakfast brunch will follow the service which will include potato casseroles along with fruit, beverages and pastries.

Everyone is invited to attend.

Hoagie sale at

Lamar Methodist

LAMAR — Lamar Methodist Church is having a hoagie sale with orders due by Sept. 29.

Orders can be picked up at the church at 4 p.m. on Oct. 10.

Anyone wishing to place an order can do so by calling 570-748-6694.

All proceeds will benefit the hardship fund to help families in need.

NVF meeting Oct. 7

HUBLERSBURG — Nittany Valley Fellowship will be holding its next meeting on Monday, Oct. 7 beginning at 7 p.m. at Trinity Reformed Church, Hublersburg.

The Fall Hymn Sing will also take place on Oct. 13 beginning at 7 p.m. at Nittany Valley Alliance Church of Hecla.

7th annual Knit ‘N Run

MILL HALL — Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church, 111 Main St., Mill Hall, will be hosting its 7th annual Knit N Run on Saturday, Oct. 5 starting at 10 a.m.

Thousands of hand made items will be on display for the public to view before they are transported by the Susquehanna Valley Big Twins Motorcycle club to local nursing homes, personal care homes and hospitals.

Come and visit with the bikers and the needle workers!

Refreshments will be served.

Chicken and biscuit dinner

JERSEY SHORE — Oriole United Methodist Church, 39 Main Rd., Jersey Shore, will be hosting a chicken and biscuit dinner on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 4 to 7 p.m.

Tickets cost $6.50 for adults, $4 for children age five to 12 and children four and under eat free.

Tickets can be purchased at the door, take out will be available.

Fall Festival at

First Church of Christ

LOCK HAVEN — First Church of Christ, 330 N. Vesper St., will be hosting a fall festival on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event is free and will include food, games, prizes, a bounce house, a bike give away and Kid Notes Performance at noon.

Everyone is invited to attend.

Ice Cream Festival

SWISSDALE — Swissdale United Methodist Church, 974 Croak Hollow Rd., will be hosting an Ice Cream Festival today beginning at 4:30 p.m. Homemade ice cream in flavors such as banana, maple nut, strawberry, pineapple, peanut butter, vanilla and chocolate will be available as well as hot sausage hot dogs barbeque sandwiches and funnel cakes. There will also be games for kids to enjoy!

Block Party at Trinity UM

BELLEFONTE — Trinity United Methodist Church, 128 W. Howard St., Bellefonte, will be hosting a block party on Sunday beginning at noon. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy good food and have a chance to meet their new pastor Doug Conway. The church’s worship service will being at 10:30 a.m.

Homecoming Celebration at St. Luke’s

FLEMINGTON — On Sunday St. Luke’s United Church of Christ will be having a Homecoming Celebration beginning at 10:45 a.m. with a luncheon to follow. All members are invited to attend the homecoming and celebrate “you” the members of St. Luke’s.

Family Day at

McElhattan UM

McELHATTAN — McElhattan United Methodist Church invites every to join them for Family Day on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. Everyone is encouraged to bring their family and “pack-a-pew.”

King’s Kids fall session

BLANCHARD — Blanchard Church of Christ will be holding King’s Kids Fall Session beginning Monday at the church. The after school program for children in kindergarten through fifth grade will begin at 3 p.m. and run to 4:30 p.m. The program will run for seven weeks, ending on Oct. 28 with a carnival and parent open house. Transportation is provided from Liberty Curtin School, however any school district or homeschool child is welcome to attend.
