Fifth Sunday service

LOCK HAVEN — Covenant Faith will have a combined service on Sunday, Dec. 29 at Faith United Methodist Church, 23 Brown St., Castanea at 10:30 a.m. with a potluck lunch following the service.

Please bring a dish to share such as casserole, vegetable, salad or dessert for the meal.

Children’s Christmas program

BEECH CREEK-The children of Beech Creek Wesleyan Church will present their Christmas Program this Sunday, Dec. 15 in a combined worship service beginning at 10 a.m. The church invites the community to come and support their children.

Hymn sing

BEECH CREEK — Beech Creek Wesleyan Church is having a Hymn Sing during the Evening Worship Service at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15. All are invited and welcome.

Christmas Party and Coffeehouse

LAMAR — On Saturday, Dec. 14, a Community Christmas Party and Coffeehouse will be held at the Porter Township Community Building in Lamar from 6 to 8 p.m.

Heartstrings (the Bradford family) will provide special music. Also there will be singing of Christmas carols, a skit and an “Ugly Hat” contest. Refreshments will be provided.

Everyone is invited! This event is sponsored by Clintondale and Mackeyville United Methodist Churches.

Carol Sing and Choir Concert

LOCK HAVEN — The annual Carol Sing and Choir Concert will be presented at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 112 E. Main St., Lock Haven on Sunday, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. The concert will feature a wide variety of music. While the concert is free, those attending, are requested to bring a food item for St. Paul’s Tiny Food Pantry. The concert should last about an hour and is sure to get you in the Christmas mood.

Pancake supper

BELLEFONTE — Trinity United Methodist Church, 128 W. Howard St., Bellefonte, will hold a pancake supper today from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Pancakes and toppings, sausage, apple sauce and a beverage will be avaible at the cost of a donation to the church.

Pleasant Gap UM announces event

PLEASANT GAP — Pleasant Gap United Methodist Church, 179 S. Main St., will be holding a free community breakfast today beginning at 8 a.m. until 9. Mrs. Claus will be back again to see the children with a gift.

Sauerkraut dinner

MILL HALL — Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church, 111 Main St., Mill Hall, will be offering a complimentary, all you care to enjoy, New Year’s Day sauerkraut dinner including desserts from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Take outs are available and the church is handicap accessible.
