Lamar Lighthouse Camp cancels concert series and family camp
LAMAR — The Lamar Lighthouse Camp Board of Directors determined that it would be very difficult to practice social distancing of concert crowds. It’s the board’s responsibility to be safe in protecting the people who attend the concerts. You can find more information on our Facebook page (Lamar Lighthouse Camp) with any links available for the musical groups that were to perform that week so you can enjoy their music.
The annual Lamar Lighthouse Camp Meetings scheduled for July 12-19 are canceled and the camp will be closed for the use of outside groups and organizations including family reunions during the 2020 camp season.
Even though the camp activities are on pause for this summer construction of the new tabernacle will continue. The board is presently getting bids for the floor to be replaced.
The building has been ordered but has been held up because of COVID-19 pandemic. The board has ordered the basic building shell. They will need additional funding for doors, windows, exhaust fans, and eventually seating.
Please consider a donation to help us in getting this project completed. Donations can be sent to Lamar Lighthouse Camp, attn: Bruce Trick, 121 W. Hills Drive, Williamsport, Pa. 17701. Please mark them tabernacle. Watch for photos on our Facebook page.
