LOCK HAVEN — Immaculate Conception Church recently received a new statue of the Blessed Virgin also known as the Immaculate Conception. The new statue replaced the old one that had been there since the church was built. The Banfill family, Terry, Carmen, and James, donated the new statue that was purchased through Rizzo’s Gift and Flower Shop. The statue is in memory of their father, Maynard, their mother, Rose, and their brother, Skip. On Thursday, Sept. 30, Father Joseph Orr, Holy Spirit Parish priest, blessed the statue in front of the church. The statue was replaced on Tuesday afternoon with the help of Merv Peters, Greg Gharet and Action Equipment. Father Orr thanked the Banfills for the beautiful Blessed Virgin. It was a monumental task.
