Fall Fest

MILL HALL –Echo Hope Assembly, 320 Hogan Blvd.,will hold a Fall Fest drive-thru carnival from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24.

Contactless games, prepackaged snacks and treats, and a photo booth will be available. Wear costumes if you would like, or dress the family in fall colors! We’ll take the digital pic!

You’ll be challenged to escape the drive thru by solving a riddle as you progress through the stations in your car. Students in Pre-K through high school are welcome to participate. We can’t wait to see you!


BEECH CREEK — Beech Creek Wesleyan Church, 217 Main St., will be hosting their Annual Trunk R Treat on Oct. 31 from 5-7 p.m.

COVID-19 precautions will be in place.

Blessing of the Pets

FLEMINGTON — St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Flemington will be offering a “Blessing of the Pets” outdoor service on Oct. 17. Interested parties may bring their pets to the church parking lot anytime between 1 and 3 p.m. Parking will be in the back of the lot and the blessing will take place in the front of the lot. All pets are welcome. For the safety of others, please make sure that pets are in a carrier or on a leash. Pet owners are required to wear face coverings.

Fall soup sale

LOCK HAVEN — Great Island Presbyterian Church, 12 W. Water St., will be holding a fall soup sale today from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church.

Soups available will be ham and bean, vegetable and chicken corn for $5 per quart.

A SHP Bunk Bed Build will also take place in the parking lot from 9 a.m. to noon.

Pot pie drive thru

BELLEFONTE — Bald Eagle Valley Community Church, 111 Runville Road, Bellefonte, will be holding a ham or chicken pot pie drive thru on Monday, Oct. 12 beginning at 4 p.m.

The cost is $8 per quart as well as homemade bread. To pre-order call 814-355-0259 by Oct. 11.

Turkey dinner

AVIS — Avis United Methodist Church, the corner of Prospect Avenue and Park Street, will be holding their annual turkey dinner on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The dinner will be take-out only this year.

The meal will cost $9 for adults and $5 for children and consist of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, green beans, cranberry sauce and dessert.
