Operation Christmas Child
House of the Lord to take part in annual collection drive
LOCK HAVEN — House of the Lord Fellowship will be taking part in the annual Operation Christmas Child National Collection week beginning Nov. 16.
Operation Christmas Child is a project from Samaritan’s Purse and collects shoebox gifts filled with school supplies, hygiene items and fun toys all over the world.
The boxes are delivered to children in need across the glob and for many children, is the first gift they’ve ever received.
In 2019 House of the Lord, along with churches in State College, collected 3,365 shoeboxes with 15,049 collected regionally. The church has been an official drop off location for 15 years.
Shoebox can be dropped off at the church, 201 W. Main St., Lock Haven, during the following days:
— Monday, Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
— Tuesday, Nov. 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
— Wednesday, Nov. 18 and Thursday, Nov. 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.

— Monday, Nov. 23 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Due to COVID-19, boxes can be dropped off using a curbside method.
When you arrive at the church follow the signs to the drop-off site where a volunteer wearing a mask will great you and direct you to an outside area where the box will be retrieved. Volunteers will also present you with a touchless way to leave your contact information and the number of shoeboxes you are dropping off.
