Virtual Ash Wednesday
Join the Caldwell/Woolrich Charge of United Methodist Church for an Ash Wednesday Service, Feb. 17 at 7 p.m.

Ash Wednesday service
SALONA — Ash Wednesday service will be held at Salona United Methodist Church at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 17.
MONTOURSVILLE — Episcopal Church of Our Saviour, 31 N. Loyalsock Ave., Montoursville, will be holding a vegetable soup and indoor yard sale on Saturday, Feb. 27 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The sale will include backed goods and hot dogs.
Homemade soup will be available for $5 a quart. Call 570-368-1863 to order.
FLEMINGTON — St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Flemington will be having a soup sale, held at the church on Saturday, March 13 from 9 a.m. until Noon. The soup will be $6 a quart. Soups for sale will be ham and bean, vegetable beef, and chicken corn. You may place orders by calling the church office at 570-748-5741 and leaving a message, on or before Monday, March 8.
Bellefonte fish fry
BELLEFOTNE — Bellefonte fish fries will be Feb. 19, 26 and March 5, 12, 19 and March 26 from 4-7p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic School, 116 E. Bishop St., Bellefonte, Pa. 16823.
Because of the virus, the meals will all be served take out only, first-come-first-served and the menu must be abbreviated. The menu will be as follows: baked fish, fried fish or shrimp; each served with macaroni and cheese, cole slaw, and a cookie. The cost will be $9 per meal.
You can pick up the meals by entering the school through the side door and exiting through the main door. Church volunteers look forward to bringing some normality to everyone and thank everyone for their support
Lenten fish fry
LOCK HAVEN — Holy Spirit Parish will be holding their annual Lenten fish fry beginning Friday, Feb. 19 at the parish center, 3 E. Walnut St., Lock Haven. This year’s fry will be drive-thru only.
The meal will consist of baked or fried fish, macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, coleslaw and bread for $11. A child or petite meal will also be available for $6.
The fish fry will take place every Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. through Lent, except for Good Friday.
LOCK HAVEN — People’s United Methodist Church of Farrandsville will re-open for services on Sunday, Feb. 21. Services will begin at 9 a.m. Masks are required.

Howard UM soup sale
HOWARD — Howard United Methodist Church, 144 W. Main St., Howard, will be holding a take out only soup sale on Feb. 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Soups available will be vegetable beef, ham and bean, chicken corn and chicken noodle at $7 a quart.
Pre-orders strongly encouraged because they do run out sometimes. Pre-order by calling/texting 814-625-2182, with types and quantity. Pay when pickup. Soup comes in freezable containers.
Proceeds benefit those in need, in the community and beyond. Masks and social distancing needed for pickup.
