Virtual services

FLEMINGTON — St. Luke’s United Church of Christ will continued to hold Virtual services through Sunday, March 21 at 10:45 a.m. St. Luke’s will return to in-person service on Palm Sunday, March 28 at 10:45. Services are conducted by Pastor Gary Nottis.

St. Luke’s also offers virtual Wednesday Evening services starting at 7 p.m., conducted by Pastor Gary Nottis. March dates for the Wednesday evening services are March 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31.

Soup sale

FLEMINGTON — St. Luke’s UCC in Flemington will be holding a soup sale on Saturday, March 13, pick up will be from 9 a.m.-noon. Orders may be placed by calling the church office at 570-748-5741 and leaving a message. Orders can be placed through March 8. Soup will be $6 a quarts and will include vegetable beef, ham and bean, and chicken corn soup.

HOWARD — Howard United Methodist Church will be holding a take out soup sale on March 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Soups cost $7 a quart and will include vegetable beef, ham and bean, chicken corn and chicken noodle. The soups will come in freezable containers.

Pre-orders are strongly encouraged and can by done by calling or texting 814-625-2182 with the type of soup and quantity. Payment will be done at pick up.

Proceeds benefit those in need, in the community and beyond. Masks and social distancing are needed for pickup.

SV Church of the Brethren to hold turkey supper

LOGANTON — Sugar Valley Church of the Brethren will hold its annual turkey supper today from 4 to 7 p.m.

This year, because of the pandemic, this will be a take-out only meal. Supper will consist of the usual roast turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, corn, cranberry sauce, roll and dessert. The cost is a donation and proceeds will benefit the church cemetery mowing fund.

Bellefonte fish fry

BELLEFOTNE — Bellefonte fish fries will be March 12, 19 and March 26 from 4-7 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic School, 116 E. Bishop St., Bellefonte, Pa., 16823.

Because of the virus, the meals will all be served take out only, first-come-first-served and the menu must be abbreviated. The menu will be as follows: baked fish, fried fish or shrimp; each served with macaroni and cheese, cole slaw, and a cookie. The cost will be $9 per meal.

You can pick up the meals by entering the school through the side door and exiting through the main door. Church volunteers look forward to bringing some normality to everyone and thank everyone for their support

Lenten fish fry

LOCK HAVEN — Holy Spirit Parish will be holding its annual Lenten fish fry beginning Friday, Feb. 19 at the parish center, 3 E. Walnut St., Lock Haven. This year’s fry will be drive-thru only.

The meal will consist of baked or fried fish, macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, coleslaw, bread and dessert for $11. A child or petite meal will also be available for $6.

The fish fry will take place every Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. through Lent, except for Good Friday.

Beech Creek Wesleyan services

BEECH CREEK — Beech Creek Wesleyan Church will hold Sunday service at 9 a.m. and include in person worship, in the parking lot by tuning into 100.5 FM; or live streamed at the Beech Creek Wesleyan Church Facebook page. The church will also have Children’s Sunday School and Tween Sunday School each Sunday morning.

Virtual services

WOOLRICH — The Caldwell/Woolrich Charge of the United Methodist Church is worshipping together virtually until further notice. They will conduct services via livestream every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. by conference call or Facebook. Please “like” one of the churches on Facebook and join their service.

No in-person services

Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases in our area Bishop Park and the Susquehanna Conference of the United Methodist Church has encouraged all United Methodist churches to temporarily close until further notice. They will be holding services on Zoom.us or by phone at 9:30 a.m. Both Zoom.us and phone number 415-762-9988 will use meeting ID 136 797 009. Also starting Sunday at 11 a.m. you can view services on “Albright United Methodist Church-Sugar Valley” Facebook page.

Church updates services

BLANCHARD — Blanchard Church of Christ has updated its service times. Services will be held at 8:30 a.m. in-person and via livestream on the church’s YouTube channel — Blanchard Church of Christ — and Facebook page. Those who worship in-person must wear a mask in the building at all times until 9:45 a.m. Sunday school will be held at 10 a.m. with masks optional and another worship service will follow at 11 a.m. Social distancing is requested in the building at all times.
