In-person services

LOCK HAVEN — On Sunday, April 11, the Lock Haven Parish will reopen all four churches — Liberty and McElhattan at 8:30 a.m., Dunnstown at 9:45 a.m., and Swissdale at 11 a.m. Masks are required for all services.

Virtual Easter services

LOCK HAVEN — Great Island Presbyterian Church will be holding the following Easter services virtually.

A Maundy Thursday service on April 2 at 7:30 p.m.; Good Friday Tenebrae service on April 3 at 7:30 p.m.; and Easter services April 4 at 10:30 a.m.

Thursday and Sunday services will included communion, so be sure to have your bread/crackers and wine/juice ready.

The church will still accept “Fish Banks” for their One Great Hour of Sharing collection. They may be dropped off at the church the following week.

St. Luke’s returns to in-person

FLEMINGTON — St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Flemington will return to in-person worship services, in the sanctuary, beginning Palm Sunday, March 28.

Palm Sunday service with the blessing of the Palms, will be held beginning at 10:45 a.m. Maundy Thursday service will be held Thursday, April 1 at 6:30 p.m., with communion being served.

All CDC guidelines will be followed and masks are required.

Kingdom of Life services

LOCK HAVEN — Kingdom of Life Ministries, 129 Park Ave., Lock Haven, will hold their Sunday morning services at 10:30 a.m. each week.

The church will also host a Bible study at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays and a prayer service each Friday at 7 p.m.

Cross Walk

LOCK HAVEN — Please join members of the Lock Haven United Methodist Churches for an eye opening experience by carrying the cross as Jesus did on that dark and dismal day.

They will meet at the Community Park by the Little League field in McElhattan at 6:30 a.m. on Friday, April 2. The walk is about a quarter of a mile to the McElhattan United Methodist Church.

If you never had the experience of walking and carrying the cross at sunrise you will take away a feeling of renewed faith in our Lord and Savor.

Egg hunt

BEECH CREEK — Beech Creek Wesleyan Church will be holding an Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. on Sunday at the church.

Virtual services continue

LOCK HAVEN — Great Island Presbyterian Church continues its weekly Sunday virtual church services at https://www.greatislandpresby.org

In-person services

The churches in the Nittany/Sugar Valley United Methodist Charge are now holding in-person services.

The new Sunday worship times for the churches are Clintondale and Greenburr Trinity at 9 a.m., and Loganton Albright and Mackeyville (beginning April 11) at 10:30 a.m.

Social distancing and mask-wearing are required at all churches.

Zoom services

LOCK HAVEN — First Church of Christ in Lock Haven will be holding livestream services soon.

The services will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. each Sunday via Zoom. To join the service use ID 827 1543 3026 and passcode 068740.

Easter Eggstravaganza

BEECH CREEK — Beech Creek Wesleyan Church, 217 Main St., Beech Creek, will be having their annual Easter Eggstravaganza/Egg Hunt on Sunday at 1 p.m. There will be thousands of candy and toy filled eggs as well as additional prize eggs. The egg hunt is for children 12 and under. Please bring your own basket. For more information, contact the church at 570-962-2732.

Beech Creek Wesleyan services

BEECH CREEK — Beech Creek Wesleyan Church will hold Sunday service at 9 a.m. and include in person worship, in the parking lot by tuning into 100.5 FM; or live streamed at the Beech Creek Wesleyan Church Facebook page. The church will also have Children’s Sunday School and Tween Sunday School each Sunday morning.

Virtual services

WOOLRICH — The Caldwell/Woolrich Charge of the United Methodist Church is worshipping together virtually until further notice. They will conduct services via livestream every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. by conference call or Facebook. Please “like” one of the churches on Facebook and join their service.

No in-person services

Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases in our area Bishop Park and the Susquehanna Conference of the United Methodist Church has encouraged all United Methodist churches to temporarily close until further notice. They will be holding services on Zoom.us or by phone at 9:30 a.m. Both Zoom.us and phone number 415-762-9988 will use meeting ID 136 797 009. Also starting Sunday at 11 a.m. you can view services on “Albright United Methodist Church-Sugar Valley” Facebook page.

Church updates services

BLANCHARD — Blanchard Church of Christ has updated its service times. Services will be held at 8:30 a.m. in-person and via livestream on the church’s YouTube channel — Blanchard Church of Christ — and Facebook page. Those who worship in-person must wear a mask in the building at all times until 9:45 a.m. Sunday school will be held at 10 a.m. with masks optional and another worship service will follow at 11 a.m. Social distancing is requested in the building at all times.
