Homemade ice cream social

BOONEVILLE — The Nittany/Sugar Valley United Methodist Charge will be holding its annual Homemade Ice Cream Social on July 17 from 4-7 p.m. at the Booneville Campground, Campground Road.

Homemade ice cream, pies, hot sausage sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks will be available for your enjoyment. Come and join in on the fun, fellowship, and great food.

Rocky

Railway VBS at Booneville Campground

BOONEVILLE — Various churches from the Sugar Valley area are combining to host “Rocky Railway VBS” from July 18- July 22 at the Booneville Campground, Campground Road.

Times are 6-8:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 18 and 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, July 19-22. Activities each day will include singing, videos, Bible adventures, crafts, games, and snacks. Children of all ages are welcome!

Yard sale

WOOLRICH — Woolrich Community UMC will be holding a large yard sale rain or shine today from 8 a.m. till 1 p.m. in the Community Center of the church. Cost of items will be by donation only. The Mission team of the church will selling hot dogs, drinks, and baked goods at 525 Park Ave. to support their annual Christmas project.

VBS at Caldwell/Woolrich UMC

Caldwell/Woolrich Charge of UMC will be hosting a two-day Vacation Bible School, Anchored-Deepening Faith in God, from 9 a.m. till noon, for children who have completed kindergarten to sixth grade.

Woolrich Church will be hosting June 21 and 22 in the Woolrich Park, Pavilion #1, and Caldwell Church June 23 and 24 at the Caldwell Church. No pre-registration is required, but if would be appreciated if you message either the Caldwell or Woolrich Church Facebook page, or leave a voicemail at 570-769-6152 with your name, number of children, and location you will be attending.

Father’s Day Picnic

HOWARD — Howard United Methodist Church, 144 W. Main St., Howard, will hold a free Father’s Day Picnic on Sunday, June 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The meal will be eat in or take out only at the fellowship hall. Weather permitting, it will be outside.

The menu will feature hot dogs and hamburgers with all the trimmings, potato salad, pasta salad, baked beans, chips and dessert.

Reservations are being accepted, but aren’t necessary. Those who make a reservation will receive a goody bag.
