St. Luke’s Fall Fair

FLEMINGTON — St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Flemington will hold a Fall Fair on Saturday, Oct. 9, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

The fair will feature an indoor yard sale, raffle and raffle basket sale, bake sale, fudge sale, and vendor stands. Lunch will be served and will include homemade soups, BBQ, hot dogs and delicious homemade desserts.

Soups will be sold by the quart and will include vegetable beef, chick corn and ham & beam. Soup will be $6/quart and may be pre-ordered by calling the church office and at 570-748-5741 and leaving a message on the answering machine. Soup orders should be placed on or before Tuesday, Oct. 5.

St. Paul returns to

in-person services

MILL HALL — St. Paul Lutheran Church, 6220 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall, will begin holding worship services on Sunday, Oct. 3, beginning at 10:30 a.m. The church had been closed due to COVID-19.

All worshippers are invited to join. COVID precautions, including masks and social distancing, are strongly encouraged. Following the service the church will offer refreshments.

St. Paul is part of the Southern Clinton County Lutheran Parish, a group of five churches. For more information, please see the Parish Facebook page.

Stabler’s Grove Camp Meeting

LINDEN — Pine Run United Methodist Church, 1719 Pine Run Road, Linden, will be hosting the 85th Stabler’s Grove Camp Meeting from Sept. 23 to 26 with Evangelist Leroy Wion. The meetings will begin at 7 p.m. and include special music from Gospel to contemporary. Harlan and Pat Bower will perform Thursday, Leroy Wion will perform Friday, Julie Bota will perform Saturday and Winnie Schweikart will perform Sunday.

A fellowship meal is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the church social hall. Everyone is welcome to enjoy hot dogs, ice cream and drinks. Please bring a covered dish to share.

Canned and dry food collections will be taken every night.

Chicken and biscuit dinner

JERSEY SHORE — Oriole United Methodist Church, 39 Main Road, Jersey Shore, will hold a chicken and biscuit dinner on Saturday, Oct. 2 from 4 to 7 p.m.

The meal will cost $6.50 for adults, $4 for children through 12 years and kids under four eat free. The meal will be dine-in or take out with tickets available at the door.

Mercy Run in Concert

LOGANTON — Join Sugar Valley Church of the Brethren, 2305 E. Winter Road, Loganton, for an outdoor concert on Sunday, Sept. 19 at 3 p.m.

Mercy Run is a traditional country style gospel group based out of the Mifflinburg area. Church members are looking forward to an afternoon of faith, fellowship and entertainment. Please bring your lawn chair.
