AVIS — Avis United Methodist Church, 215 Prospect Ave., will have its annual family style turkey dinner on Saturday, Oct. 9 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The dinner will include turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables, cranberry sauce and dessert.
Cost for adults is $10 and $5 for children above five years old.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
MILL HALL — The Prayer Shawl Ministry will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 29 at noon with lunch.
In addition to their regular meeting, the ministry will be preparing for the Knit N Run to be held on Saturday Oct. 2 at 10 a.m. Everyone is invited to the Knit N Run to socialize with the needleworkers and the Susquehanna Valley Big Twins Motorcycle Club. The items the needleworkers made will be on display before the Big Twins deliver them to area facilities.
The ministry meets at the Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church, 111 Main St., Mill Hall. The church is handicap accessible and they provide all the yarn needed to make the prayer shawls and other items.
A complimentary lunch is provided. All skill levels are welcome to join us. All denominations are welcome to come and fellowship with us.
Gospel Meeting Series
FLEMINGTON — The Wright Street Church of Christ in Flemington will be hosting a series of Gospel Meetings with Mike Criswell.
Mike is a dynamic and inspirational preacher and the congregation is excited to have him visit again. Participants will not be disappointed by his sermons and messages.
Services will be held nightly Sept. 29-Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 3 at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

St. Luke’s Fall Fair
FLEMINGTON — St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Flemington will holding a Fall Fair on Saturday, Oct. 9, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
The Fall Fair will feature an indoor yard sale, raffle and raffle basket sale, bake sale, fudge sale, and vendor stands. Soups will be sold by the quart and will include vegetable beef, chicken corn and ham & bean.
Soup will be $6/quart and may be pre-ordered by calling the church office at 570-748-5741 and leaving a message on the answering machine. Soup orders should be placed on or before Tuesday, Oct. 5.
Please note: Due to COVID-19 numbers lunch will not be served.
St. Paul returns to
MILL HALL — St. Paul Lutheran Church, 6220 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall, will begin holding worship services on Sunday, Oct. 3, beginning at 10:30 a.m. The church had been closed due to COVID-19.
All worshippers are invited to join. COVID precautions, including masks and social distancing, are strongly encouraged. Following the service the church will offer refreshments.

Chicken and biscuit dinner
JERSEY SHORE — Oriole United Methodist Church, 39 Main Road, Jersey Shore, will hold a chicken and biscuit dinner on Saturday, Oct. 2 from 4 to 7 p.m.
The meal will cost $6.50 for adults, $4 for children through 12 years and kids under four eat free. The meal will be dine-in or take out with tickets available at the door.
Fall Hymn Sing
HUBLERSBURG — Nittany Valley Fellowship will host a Fall Hymn Sing on Sunday, Oct. 10 at the Trinity Reformed Church in Hublersburg at 7 p.m.
