Pass It On program

FLEMINGTON — Lock Haven Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 610 Frederick St., Flemington, is still hosting its Pass It On clothing distribution. The event runs ever other Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. No documentation is needed. Please, no donations.

Winter dates are as follows: Oct. 3 and 17, Nov. 7 and 21, Dec. 5 and 19.

Fall Bazaar

RAUCHTOWN — St. James Lutheran Church, 3242 Middle Road, Rauchtown, will hold its annual Fall Bazaar on Saturday, Oct. 23 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The general public can purchase a hot lunch, homemade soups, baked goods, holiday crafts and an assortment of items from their white elephant table. There’s something for everyone.

St. James Lutheran Church also invites people to attend their regular worship service each Sunday at 10 a.m. All are welcome. The church is located at the intersection of Middle Road and Route 880 in Rauchtown, about 7 1/2 miles from Jersey Shore, Pa.

St. Paul’s returns to service

LAMAR — St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, the “red brick chuch” along Route 64 and home of St. Paul’s Food Pantry, will be reopening their doors for in-person worship service on Sunday, Oct. 3 at 10:30 a.m. Refreshments will be served immediately after the service. Everyone is welcome. CDC guidelines will be observed.

Soup sale

HOWARD — Howard United Methodist Church, 144 W. Main St., Howard, will be holding a take out only soup sale on Oct. 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Soups available are vegetable beef, ham and bean, chicken corn and chicken noodler for $7 per quart and come in a freezable container.

Preorders are strongly encouraged and can be made by calling or texting 814-625-2128.

Proveeds will benefit those in need in the community and beyond.

The church will be following CDC guidelines and encourage everyone to wear a mask when inside the building.

Ham, chicken pot pie sale

BELLEFONTE — Bald Eagle Valley Community Church, 111 Runville Road, Bellefonte, will be holding a ham or chicken pot pie dinner.

The drive-thru service meal will take place on Monday, Oct. 11 from 4 p.m. until gone and include ham or chicken pot pie and homemade bread at a cost of $8 per quart.

Turkey dinner

AVIS — Avis United Methodist Church, 215 Prospect Ave., will have an annual family style turkey dinner on Saturday, Oct. 9 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The dinner will include turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables, cranberry sauce and dessert.

Cost for adults is $10 and $5 for children above five years old.

St. Luke’s Fall Fair

FLEMINGTON — St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Flemington will hold a Fall Fair on Saturday, Oct. 9, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

The Fall Fair will feature an indoor yard sale, raffle and raffle basket sale, bake sale, fudge sale, and vendor stands. Soups will be sold by the quart and will include vegetable beef, chick corn and ham and bean.

Soup will be $6/quart and may be pre-ordered by calling the church office at 570-748-5741 and leaving a message on the answering machine. Soup orders should be placed on or before Tuesday, Oct. 5.

Please note: Due to COVID-19 numbers, lunch will not be served.

St. Paul returns to

in-person services

MILL HALL — St. Paul Lutheran Church, 6220 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall, will begin holding worship services on Sunday, Oct. 3, beginning at 10:30 a.m. The church had been closed due to COVID-19.

All worshippers are invited to join. COVID precautions, including masks and social distancing, are strongly encouraged. Following the service the church will offer refreshments.

St. Paul is part of the Southern Clinton County Lutheran Parish, a group of five churches. For more information, please see the Parish Facebook page.

Chicken and biscuit dinner

JERSEY SHORE — Oriole United Methodist Church, 39 Main Road, Jersey Shore, will hold a chicken and biscuit dinner today from 4 to 7 p.m.

The meal will cost $6.50 for adults, $4 for children through 12 years and kids under four eat free. The meal will be dine-in or take out with tickets available at the door.

Fall Hymn Sing

HUBLERSBURG — Nittany Valley Fellowship will host a Fall Hymn Sing on Sunday, Oct. 10 at the Trinity Reformed Church in Hublersburg at 7 p.m.
