Thanksgiving Eve

HUBLERSBURG — A Thanksgiving Eve Service will be held on Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. at Trinity Reformed in Hublersburg.

New Member Sunday

MILL HALL — Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church, Main Street, Mill Hall will be holding a New Member Sunday service on Sunday, Oct. 24 at 10:30 a.m.

The church will be taking on new members and celebrating in a big way with Octoberfest. The event will be complete with homemade sauerkraut, pork, hot dogs, mashed potatoes and lots of desserts.

St. Paul’s to celebrate 100th anniversary

LOGANTON — St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Loganton will celebrate the 100th anniversary of its church building on Sunday, Oct. 24, during a service of Holy Communion.

The church was dedicated on Oct. 22 and 23, 1921, replacing the old church which was destroyed by fire in 1918.

Everyone is welcome to this service, and to a fellowship hour following worship.

Soup sale

BELLEFONTE — Trinity United Methodist Church, 128 W. Howard St., Bellefonte, will be holding a take-out only soup sale on Saturday, Nov. 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until sold out.

Soups available will be chili, stuffed pepper, vegetable, chicken noodle, ham and bean, beef vegetable, ham green beans and potatoes, meatball with pasta and vegetables and cost $7 per quart.

Spaghetti dinner

BELLEFONTE — Trinity United Methodist Church, 128 W. Howard St., Bellefonte, will be holding a take-out only spaghetti dinner on Saturday, Nov. 13 from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

The cost of the meal is a donation.

Light the Night

BELLEFONTE — Freedom Life Kids invites families to attend Light the Night at the Freedom Life Centre County Campus on Sunday, Oct. 31 from 6 until 8 p.m. It will be a safe and fun environment for children in 5th Grade and younger,and their families to enjoy games, activities, sweet treats and free food.

“We’ve always loved this event and we’re so excited to be bringing it back after not being able to host it last year,” said Pastor Josh Simonetti. “In the past we’ve organized it at the school, but due to the mask mandate, we’ve moved the location to our church building. We’re not disappointed. It’ll still be a good time with the bounce house and carnival games that the little ones love so much!”

Food Drive

LOCK HAVEN — St. Luke’s United Church of Christ will be collecting food items for the Clinton County Women’s Center. Because of the COVID pandemic, clients are being housed in hotels and food that can be microwaved or served without cooking would be greatly appreciated.

The collections will start Oct. 24, the requested item is soup; Oct. 31 will be pop tarts and Nov. 17 collection will be juice. Please, no out of date or glass items.

Fall Bazaar

RAUCHTOWN — A Fall Bazaar will be held at St. James Lutheran Church on Saturday, Oct. 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Homemade soups, hot sandwiches and baked goods will be available along with crafts and white elephant items. The church is located at the intersection of Route 880 and Middle Road, Rauchtown.

Chicken and

waffle dinner

BLANCHARD — Liberty Baptist Church, 100 Bald Eagle St., Blanchard, will be holding a take-out only chicken and waffle dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 29.

The dinner will include chicken, waffles, mashed potatoes, gravy, applesauce and dessert. There is no cost but a free offering will be accepted, with proceeds going to Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes.

Fall Bazaar

RAUCHTOWN — St. James Lutheran Church, 3242 Middle Road, Rauchtown, will hold its annual Fall Bazaar on Saturday, Oct. 23 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The general public can purchase a hot lunch, homemade soups, baked goods, holiday crafts and an assortment of items from their white elephant table. There’s something for everyone.

St. James Lutheran Church also invites people to attend their regular worship service each Sunday at 10 a.m. All are welcome. The church is located at the intersection of Middle Road and Route 880 in Rauchtown, about 7 1/2 miles from Jersey Shore, Pa.
