Spend some quality time with your family
Is this quarantine getting you down? Are you bored of staring at your phone? Bored of playing Xbox? Well I have some things that Central Mountain students should try out.
One thing I like to do is workout. Some examples of workout ideas are taking a walk with your mom, dad, and siblings. Another workout idea could be running or jogging. You could even go to the dike downtown for a run, taking correct precaution of course.
If you are an athlete now is especially key that you keep working out so when we can get back together you are stronger than ever. Ideas for athletes to stay in the right mind of their sports are to watch films of your games that you’ve had if you are able and try to correct mistakes you made in the games if you can.
You can also read books or articles on the sport, my basketball team read a book called “Toughness” by Jay Bilas and it helps us to be mentally prepared coming from a guy with great knowledge in the sport. And not to mention you should always try to hone your skills of your sport.
One thing teens can be doing in this quarantine are spending time with their parents. You could hang out with them by playing a card game with them like Uno, Clue, etc. There are numerous card games you can play with your parents.
You can also, if you want to do something, offer to go get the groceries if you have your license so your parents don’t have too. Spend time with your parents, they know a thing or two, just enjoy your time with them.
Something that I’ve seen people do during this time is going for random drives, with no destination in mind. So if you are bored, take a drive with your parents or siblings and enjoy time with them. Drive to the top of the mountain and enjoy the view.
An important thing that students should be working on during quarantine is their school work. Students need to keep checking schoology and check in with your teachers they like to hear from us.
Remember to stay safe and make the most of what you have.
