Sunday concert on the river rescheduled

LOCK HAVEN – The city originally planned a total of three free outdoor events this weekend, but now one has been rescheduled.

Due to anticipated high water at the floating stage, The Chris Ruble Band concert scheduled for this Sunday is rescheduled for Sunday, Aug. 19 at 6:30 p.m.

This means the weekend of Aug. 19, which is also the weekend of the LH JAMS Festival (Lock Haven Jazz and Arts on Main Street) will feature not one, but two concerts on the floating stage. Those concerts are by Chicago Authority on Saturday, Aug. 18 at 5:30 p.m., which dove-tails with LH JAMS, and The Chris Ruble Band the following evening, at the usual time of 6:30 pm.

The free outdoor events in Triangle Park are still on the schedule.

The Repasz Band will perform at 7 p.m. tonight in the park. (Note the change in time for this special concert only.)

And on Saturday, the city’s Free Outdoor Movie Series starts with the animated film “Leap!” (PG) shown in the park on the big, inflatable screen, starting at dusk (8:45 p.m.). The movie series is sponsored by UPMC Susquehanna Lock Haven.
