Long is unofficial winner for Lock Haven mayor
LOCK HAVEN – The unofficial results of the General Election are in and it appears Democrat Joel Long has defeated Republican Jeff Brinker for Lock Haven mayor.
Long tallied 629 votes to Brinker’s 588, though results are unofficial.
There were approximately 13 write-in votes.
If results hold they will show that 1,230 city residents cast ballots for mayor Tuesday amid a total registration in the city’s five wards of 4,373, for a turnout of just 28 percent.
Long serves on City Council. He formerly served as a Clinton County commissioner for two terms.
Brinker is a Central Mountain High School educator and soccer coach.
