An apology to the family of Donald L. Eggler Sr.

The Express community newspaper apologizes to the family and friends of Donald L. Eggler Sr., after a staff member mistakenly listed Mr. Eggler’s memorial service for today, when it was actually held starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, at Woolrich United Methodist Community Church in Woolrich. Mr. Eggler, of Woolrich, a beloved longtime postal employee and postmaster in Woolrich, passed on Aug. 17, 2018. His full obituary appeared on Aug. 20, with the announcement that a memorial service would be held at a later date. That service was announced in The Express this past Thursday, Oct. 4, to be held Saturday, Oct. 6. However, an Express staff member failed to list the funeral correctly in our Oct 5 and 6 editions. The newspaper offers its sincere apology and will provide a full refund for all of the notices published.
