D. Bruce Sheats

D. Bruce Sheats, 90, of Greenburr, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Susque View Home, Lock Haven.

He was born in Greenburr on Aug. 27, 1928, the son of the late Allen and Ethel Klepper Sheats.

On June 21, 1952 at the Greenburr Trinity United Methodist Church, Bruce married the former Barbara L. Imes, who survives.

He was employed at Piper Aircraft for many years until its closing. He then worked for a short time at the Clinton County Office of Aging before being employed at Brodart Contract Furniture until his retirement.

Bruce was a member of the Greenburr Trinity United Methodist Church.

He enjoyed the outdoors – especially hunting, fishing, going for mountain rides and playing golf at Belles Springs Golf Course. Bruce also had a special love for his dogs and enjoyed going for walks with them.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Larry (Terri) Sheats of Loganton and Mark (Linda) Sheats of Jersey Shore; a brother, Terry (Margaret) Sheats of California; and a sister, Addalee Shortledge of Loganton.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 2 p.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa. 17745 with Rev. Elizabeth Taylor officiating. A Committal Service will follow at Greenburr Trinity United Methodist Cemetery.

Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from noon until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Greenburr Trinity United Methodist Church.
