Lucien M. Snook, Sr.
Lucien M. Snook, Sr., 90, husband of Shirley J. (Scheesley) Snook, of 53 Spring Lane, Loganton, Pa., passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, July 3, 2019.
Born in Loganton, on Oct. 19, 1928, he was the son of the late Newton E. and Mary Belle (Imes) Snook.
Shirley and Lucien were wed on Dec. 25, 1955 and shared over 63 years of marriage together.
Lucien was employed for 26 years by James P. Webb road construction and later was self-employed in the construction business.
He served honorably in the United States Army in the early 1950’s.
Along with his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Teressa Raudabaugh, of Loganton; two sons, Lucien M. Snook, Jr. (Jean) and Thomas Snook, both of Loganton; two sisters, Shelva Jean Brubaker, of Loganton, and Kathryn Startzel, of Williamsport; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Wayde L. Snook, Sr.; and two brothers, Ernest Snook and Marlin Snook.
Lucien enjoyed working and playing cards, however, his greatest pastime was spending time with his family.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Home, Inc., 95 East Main St., Loganton, Pa., with Rev. Melvin Musser officiating. A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, July 7, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. Final interment will be held in Fairview Cemetery, Loganton, Pa.
