Helen L. Stewart
Helen L. Stewart, 91, of Jersey Shore passed away Saturday morning Jan. 18, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born Dec. 24, 1928 in Cogan Station the daughter of Sara and Ben Ertwine.
Early in her life she was a housekeeper for Evelyn Jackson Realty and CLE Loan office in Jersey Shore. For over 15 years she worked at the Antlers Country Club in Williamsport and was employed 23 years at Wundies in Williamsport as a seamstress and sewing machine operator. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading and loved taking care of her kids, grandkids, great and great great grand kids, whom she had 80 total!
Her survivors include two daughters: Karen (Ken) Robbins of Lock Haven and Cathi (Mike) Walker of Jersey Shore; five sons: James (Tamie) Stewart, Gordon (Judy) Stewart, Ken (Phyllis) Stewart, Edward Stewart and Steven (Debbie) Stewart all Jersey Shore. Forty graddchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her children Torrie Ann, Daniel L. and Larry R. Stewart.
Helen’s Tribute of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2020 at the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore with Pastor Ron Savits officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at her family’s convenience.
