Rosemary M. “Romy” Allen, 69, 200 Hiawatha Trail, McElhattan, Pa. died Jan. 6, 2020 at the Bucktail Medical Center, South Renovo.

Born Sept. 3, 1950 in Tyler, Texas she was the daughter of the late William and Helen McGee Tyler. She married Thomas J. Allen on Nov. 17, 1986 who survives at home.

“Romy” was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving with the 50th Avionics Maint. SQ. For her service she received the National Defense Service Medal and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal.

“Romy” was a graduate of the University of New Hampshire with an LPN degree and had received her Registered Nurse degree from the University of Maryland in 1998. She had also received an Associates Degree in Business Administration from Memphis State University. She had worked at the Lock Haven Hospital Emergency Room and Williamsport Hospital. She was a member of the McElhattan United Methodist Church and enjoyed reading.

In addition to her husband she is survived by four son, John Paul Allen, John G. Allen, both of Memphis, Tenn., Jeff Allen, of Manchester, N.H. and Nicholas J. Allen, of Washington, DC.; and two brothers Charles McGhee, of Dallas, Texas and Larry McGee, of Tyler, Texas.

A memorial service honoring the life of Rosemary M. “Romy” Allen is being planned for spring 2020 and will be announced when completed.

Interment will be in North Bend Cemetery, North Bend.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Dean K. Wetzler, Jr. Funeral Home, 320 Main St., Mill Hall, Pa. 17751.
