JANE EMILY BOONE MCKIVISON

Jane Emily Boone McKivison, 79, of Beech Creek passed away on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020 at U.P.M.C. Hospital, Williamsport. She was born in Lock Haven on Nov. 6, 1940, a daughter of the late Kenneth L. and Dorothy Mae Mann Boone.

Jane was a 1958 graduate of Lock Haven High School and was united in marriage to the love of her life, Robert G. McKivison at the Beech Creek Methodist Church on Feb. 14, 1964. She worked at Bobby Brooks and as a seamstress at Woolrich in Blanchard where she retired after 25 years of service. Along with her husband she was co-owner of Bobby’s Place in Beech Creek as well as running her own cleaning business. Her cleaning business was a perfect fit because she took so much pride in her own home and keeping it in perfect shape. It was evident that she was a very hard worker all of her life. She also enjoyed gardening, shopping, and trips to the beach as well as several countries.

Jane was known for her signature black hair and classy style. She always welcomed friends and family into her home anytime and enjoyed entertaining. She was a member of the Brethren In Christ Church, Marsh Creek and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Beech Creek.

She is survived by her loving husband of almost 66 years, Robert G. McKivison of Beech Creek, her daughter, Deborah Lesser of Howard, two brothers, Ronald (Elizabeth “Dimps”) Boone, and Kenneth (Dorothy “Jeannie”) Boone all of Howard, and a sister, Linda (Toby) Kunes also of Howard. She was preceded by a sister Mona Lohr. Also surviving are two grandsons, Colby R. (Beverly) Bechdel of Beech Creek, and Cody (Fiancee Cassandra Fullington ) Bechdel of Beech Creek, 2 great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Erika Bower of Beech Creek, a special cousin that was like a sister to her, Relda Williams and many nieces and nephews. Jane’s friend list has too many to list individually, but know she cherished each and every one of you.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Friday, Feb. 7, 2020 at Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main St., Howard with Pastor Dan Longmore officiating. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6. Burial will be private at Brethren in Christ Cemetery, Marsh Creek.
