Timothy Lee Kurutz

Capt. Timothy Lee Kurutz USAF (Ret.), 44, Angeles City, Philippines, formerly of Renovo died Sept. 7, 2020 in Angeles City. He was born May 20, 1976 in Lock Haven. He was the son of John F. and Judy M. Bilby Kurutz who survive in Renovo.

Tim was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired as a Captain. He was a 1994 graduate of Bucktail High School. He graduated from the Air Force Academy 2001 and became a KC 10 – Pilot with the 32nd Air Refueling Squadron.

Tim loved the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was an avid reader, especially anything to do with history. He was of the Roman Catholic faith. He is a former altar boy and church usher.

Tim is survived by one son, Joseph R. Kurutz, Del Rio, Texas; a stepson, Mario Castillo, Del Rio, Texas; two brothers: John F. Kurtuz Jr., Baltimore, Maryland and James (Debb) F. Kurutz, Mill Hall.

A memorial service honoring the life of Timothy L. Kurtuz was held on Sunday Sept. 13, 2020 at the Dean K. Wetzler Jr. Funeral Home 320 Main St., Mill Hall.

Friends were received from 6-7 p.m. in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Renovo Area Library through the funeral home.
