Karen K. Heverly
Karen K. Heverly, 64, of Marsh Creek, passed away at her home on Monday, Oct. 12, 2020. She was born in Lock Haven on Jan. 18, 1956 a daughter of the late Dale Kleckner and Lavon Miller Kleckner of Howard.
She was a graduate of Bald Eagle Nittany Class of 1973. In October of 1973 she was united in marriage to Steven J. “Pete” Heverly who survives at home.
Karen had been employed as a seamstress at Woolrich and Mid State Awning. She was a former member of the Beech Creek American Legion and was a member of the Blanchard Church of Christ.
She enjoyed canning and her two dogs, Mia and Sadie, but her greatest pleasure came from spending time with her family. She was devoted to help care for and raise her grandchildren.
Along with her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Michelle (Chris) Ranio of Bellefonte; a son, Eric Scott Heverly of Howard; a sister, Susan ( Mike) Young of Beech Creek; two brothers, Duane (Andie) Kleckner of Beech Creek and Kenny (Beth) Kleckner of Blanchard; her two grandchildren, Gage and Mallory Heverly; sister-in-law, Cheryl Kleckner of Lock Haven; two brothers-in-law, Roger Heverly of Howard and Gary ( Sharon ) Heverly of Blanchard, and many nieces and nephews, as well as her many friends who loved her. She was preceded in death by her dad and brother Steve Kleckner.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020 at 7 p.m. at Blanchard Church of Christ, 161 Beach St., Blanchard, with Rev. Dr. Russel J. Moldovan officiating. Friends will be received from 5 p.m. until the service. CDC guidelines will be followed.
