Ethel L. Brungart, formerly of Blanchard, went to be with the Lord and Savior on Friday, Jan. 22, 2021. Ethel just celebrated her 90th birthday and remarked to one of the nurses caring for her at UPMC Haven Place “no wonder I am tired!”

Ethel is survived by her husband of 67 years, Dean Brungart. Also surviving are her children — Arlene (Kenny) Stephens, Fred (Amanda) Brungart, Vanita (Tim) Watson and Mark (Michelle) Brungart. She is survived by her grandchildren — Shannon (Chris) Copeland, Jon (Danyelle) Brungart, Mark Brungart, and Tyler (Lyndsey) Mikesell. She had a granddaughter, Jennifer Brungart, who preceded her in death. She is also survived by her step-grandchildren, Devon (Seth) MacDonald, Aly MacDonald and Olivia (Mike) MacDonald. She is also survived by her grandson, Austin Brungart, great-grandchildren, Matthew and Benjamin Copeland, Callie and Haley Brungart, Colton Hoffman and Elise Brungart, Emma Mikesell and Finnley Miller. She loved her family and prayed for them daily.

Ethel was preceded in death her parents Fred and Frances Watkins, her sisters; Ernestine Watkins, Marie (Wilbur) Moore and Fay (Chester) Poorman.

She loved life, but most of all she loved Jesus and her family. She was a member of the Summit Hill Wesleyan Church and served many events and ministries. Anyone wishing to give a donation in her honor may do so to the Summit Hill Wesleyan Church, 1700 Summit Hill Road, Howard, PA 16841.

There will be a private viewing and service for her immediate family with Pastor Kenneth Lynn officiating. Later in the spring plans to have a memorial service in celebration of her life.
