Samuel LeRoy Entz
Samuel LeRoy Entz, 75 of Bellefonte, passed away on Monday, Jan. 11, 2021 at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.
He was born on Sept. 18, 1945 in Lock Haven, the son of the late William Chester and Helen May Wilt Entz.
He married Karen Martin on Sept. 25, 1965, she survives at home.
He was a supervisor at the Penn State physical plant, retiring after 26 years of service. He also proudly served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard after 13 years of service as a TSGT.
Samuel was a life member of the Beech Creek American Legion. He enjoyed working on cars especially the classic cars.
He is survived by two sons; Kevin (Angela) Entz of Trenton, Fla., and Chad (Michelle) Entz of Centre Hall, two sisters; Libby DuFour and Joanne (Clair) Lockard, six grandchildren, two great grandsons; many nieces and nephews, and his faithful K-9 companion and best friend, Tanner. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Mahlon and Abe Entz, a sister Sharon and a half sister Ida Mae Schaffer.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main Street, Howard. Friends and family will be received from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the service on Sunday. Burial will be at the Jacksonville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Pets Come First.
