KATHY HUMISTON

Kathy Spotts Humiston, 66 of Beech Creek, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Dec. 27, 2021. Kathy was born in Altoona, Pa. on June 15, 1955, to the late Lester and Helen Rudasill.

Upon graduating from Altoona Area High School, Kathy moved to the Lock Haven area and later began working in the corporate offices for the Uni-Mart corporation for nearly ten years.

Kathy began her career in insurance and investment planning when she entered into partnership with her late husband, Ron, serving hundreds of clients for nearly 40 years through R.S. Associates, a business she continued in partnership with her current husband, Kevin, until her death.

Kathy was a member of the Blanchard Church of Christ where she served in ministry as a secretary and more recently, Worship Minister.

She led numerous ministries during her years of service including King’s Kids and as Co-Director of Blanchard Church of Christ’s annual Easter Drama. She passionately cared for the members of her congregation, delivering the news of the Gospel and being the Hands and Feet of Jesus. She was an important mentor to many youths and women in the church during her more than 30 years as a member.

When Kathy wasn’t faithfully serving her church, she loved spending time with her family most, including trips to see her grandchildren in Fla.

Kathy was a devoted, loving, caring and selfless, wife, mother, sister and Nanny. Her love for her family was unmatched. Even for those who were not her family, she treated them as such. She will be remembered for her Christ-like love towards all those she encountered.

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Spotts, of Beech Creek, Pa.

She is survived by her husband, Kevin Humiston; a brother, John Rudasill (Linda), of Altoona; her son, Markus Spotts (Naomi), of Boca Raton, Fla.; her stepsons, Cory Spotts (Jayne), of Mill Hall, and Erich Spotts of Loganton.

She is also survived by four grandchildren, three step grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at the Blanchard Church of Christ on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Masks will be required when standing in line and when visiting with the family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Blanchard Church of Christ on Sunday, Jan. 2 at 2 p.m. and will be officiated by Rev. Dr. Russel Moldovan. Masks are strongly encouraged during this service.
