Calvin N. Truckenmiller

Calvin N. Truckenmiller, 96, husband of the late Lillian (Rockey) Truckenmiller, of 153 E. Main St., Loganton, Pa., passed away on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2023, at Susque-View Home, Lock Haven.

Born in Loganton on Oct. 25, 1926, he was the son of the late Nevin and Madeline (Nicholas) Truckenmiller.

He served his country honorably during WWII with the U.S Army Air Corps.

Calvin was of the Lutheran Faith.

He was formerly employed as a truck driver for John Schrack, Centre Concrete and PennDot, as well as being a dairy farmer.

Calvin was a member of the Sugar Valley Volunteer Fire Co. #13 in Loganton. He also enjoyed hunting, reading and playing cards.

He is survived by three daughters, Madeline (Don) Laubach, of Loganton, Mary (Tim) Washburn, of Booneville, and Joan E. Truckenmiller, of Lock Haven; a sister, Laura Eck, of Rauchtown; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and three step-great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a son, John Truckenmiller.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023, at 11 a.m., in the Loganton Wesleyan Church, 4972 Long Run Road, Loganton, with Rev. Wayne Wagner officiating. A viewing will be held in the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of the service. Final interment will be held in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Loganton, Pa.
