VANORDER — Vern A. VanOrder, Jr., 87, of Pine Creek, died Aug. 24, 2023. Funeral service will be held today at 12 noon at Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, Jersey Shore.

HEGGENSTALLER — Sara E. (Lamey) Heggenstaller, 90, of E. Main St., Loganton, died Aug. 29, 2023. Funeral services will be held today at 12 noon at the Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Home, 95 E. Main St., Loganton. A viewing will be held in the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Final interment will be held in Fairview Cemetery, Loganton.

NILSSON — E.J. “Buzz” Nilsson, 81, of Jersey Shore, died Aug. 23, 2023.Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. this evening at the Walnut Street Baptist Church, 201 W. Highland St., Avis, followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m. He will be laid to rest Saturday in the Jersey Shore Cemetery.

HILL — Lauraetta Rae “Toot” Hill, 86, of Lock Haven, died Aug. 7, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 9, at 12 p.m., at Hillview Wesleyan Church, 1200 W. 4th St., Lock Haven. Friends and family will be received at the church on Saturday, Sept. 9, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.

BETAR — Douglas S. Betar, 61, of Plum, died Aug. 27, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Sept. 9, at 1 p.m. at Living Word of Plum.

KOCH — Marie L. (Yarnell) Koch, 87, of Clintondale, died Aug. 23, 2023. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family and will be announced through the Gedon Funeral Home in Mill Hall.
