FRED MILLER

Fred E. Miller, 77, of E. Renovo, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Bucktail Medical Center, S. Renovo.

Born Sept. 24, 1947, in Renovo, he was a son of the late Donald and Virginia “Jo” (Walden) Miller.

He was married on April 21, 1967, to the former Karen M. Bodley. They celebrated 58 years of marriage together.

He was Methodist by faith and a 1965 graduate of Renovo High School.

Fred served in the Army Security Agency in Thailand during the Vietnam War from 1966 ­ 1969. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.

He worked for Kettle Creek State Park as a maintenance supervisor and earlier as a plumber in the Renovo area.

Fred was an avid gun collector and member the Western Clinton County Sportsman’s Association. He was also a member of the Elks, Masonic Lodge 495, Son’s of Italy and the American Legion, all of Renovo.

Surviving are his loving wife; a son, Timothy M. Miller, of Lock Haven; a grandson, Curtis J. (Chelsea) Hess; three great- grandchildren, Zach, Brody and Olivia; a brother, Donald M. Miller, of Renovo; a niece, Coty J. Nyman, of Lock Haven; and a great-niece, Caedynn Miller.

Fred was preceded in death by a daughter, Tracey L. Miller, in 2019.

A graveside service with military and Masonic honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at North Bend Cemetery, with Martha Sykes and Darlene Mills officiating.
