Each Saturday, The Express community newspaper highlights people, groups and activities our readers deem worthy of applause.
A grand round of APPLAUSE go to the fabulous, wonderful ladies of the five chapters of Beta Sigma Phi. Founder’s Day celebration went very well. The reception at Haywood’s on the Green was the best. Laurie and the waiter and waitress were exceptional. They received compliments for the food and great service. Thank you Andrea Schafer, Deb Crisinger, Paula Smith, Sarah Smith, Sally Barner, Ronda Rhinehart, Vicki Kitt, Norma Miller, Ann Allison, and Jeanne Mullen. Congratulations to our sisters Judy McMann, Carole Fowler, Kay Wagner, and Sally Barner. All who participated did build a Quilt of Friendship, the past year’s theme.
THANK YOU to the Central Pennsylvania Community Band and Directors Paul Kellerman and Ashley Crust for a terrific concert. The music was great and well performed and it was great to enjoy this time with the band. Don’t miss any chance to hear them and if you play an instrument consider joining them. They rehearse every Monday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Central Mountain Middle School band room.
