Build that wall
WILLIAM L. EMICK
The socialists within the Democratic party are campaigning for open borders, free food, housing, medical and voting rights for illegals who are invading our country, while President Trump is trying to protect America’s nationality by building a wall along our southern border where necessary to prevent illegal immigration.
Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, wrote in his monthly newsletter the “Verdict,” that “the majority of federal arrests are foreigners and every American should be concerned with these facts.
He reported drugs along the Mexican border have nearly doubled in the last decade, and the number of central Americans captured have risen 30-fold in the last two decades.
The Bureau of Justice Statistics reported non-U.S. citizens accounted for 64 percent of all federal arrests in 2018.
From 1998 to 2018, federal arrests of Mexican citizens rose from 28 percent to 40 percent, and citizens apprehension from Central American countries increased from 1 percent to 20 percent, while the U.S. citizens rate fell from 63 percent to 36 percent.
Immigration crimes increased from 20,942 in 1998 to 58,031 in 2017, then jumped to 108,667 by 2018, an increase of 418.9 percent in just two decades.
The four states along the Mexican border, California, Arizona, New Mexico, and western and eastern Texas, have experienced a 539.6 percent increase in immigration-related arrests in the last two decades, and foreign alien apprehensions from unknown countries have increased from 202 to 6,657 in just a few years.
Drug offenses are the most popular crimes committed by non-U.S. citizens, followed by fraud, alien smuggling, and misuse of visas.
The highly organized caravans entering the United States include human smugglers, violent gang members, and other criminal elements, and the U.S. Sentencing Commission reported nearly half of all federal crimes in the U.S. are perpetrated by foreigners who are not American citizens, and they were responsible for 42.7 percent of all federal crimes in 2018.
The agency reported 54.3 percent of the 69,425 federal offenses last year were by Hispanics with immigration cases heading the largest group of offenses, followed by drugs, firearms, and fraud, and those four transgressions accounted for 82.9 percent of all cases reported to the commission in 2018.
Drugs accounted for 28.1 percent of federal crimes and most involved methamphetamine which showed a 300 percent increase in meth seizures in just one border state alone.
In 2018 Hispanics committed 9,020 federal drug trafficking crimes, nearly twice as many as blacks, 4,670. and double those carried out by whites, 4,499.
Hispanics were charged with more drug possession crimes in 2018, and of the 23,656 immigration offenses recorded in 2018, they accounted for 22,782.
They also committed the most money laundering crimes, 504, compared to whites, 444, and blacks 236, and those figures included only the convicts that actually got sentenced.
West Virginia leads the states with 57.8 opioid deaths per 100,000, while Ohio is second with 46.3 per 100,000, and Pennsylvania comes in third with 44.3 per 100,000.
This is why President Trump and the majority of Americans are demanding Congress, “build that wall” along our southern border to control crime and especially curtail the flow of drugs into our country which claimed the lives of 67,744 Americans who overdosed in 2018.
