Coronavirus …. to the tune of ‘You Are My Sunshine’

KYLE HULL

Lock Haven

Coronavirus, Coronavirus,

You make me snappy, and skies are gray.

You’ll never know, dear, how much I loathe you,

‘Cause you make my friends stay away.

The other night dear, as I lay sleeping

I dreamed of getting dressed for work.

When I awoke dear, I was mistaken,

As the world had gone berserk.

Coronavirus, Coronavirus,

You make me snappy, and skies are gray.

You’ll never know, dear, how much I loathe you,

‘Cause you make my friends stay away.

Don’t watch the news, dear, for it’s not pretty.

Our leaders don’t agree at all.

Numbers are rising, people are dying

And “you-know-who” just dropped the ball.

Coronavirus, Coronavirus,

You make me snappy, and skies are gray.

You’ll never know, dear, how much I loathe you,

‘Cause you make my friends stay away.

So wash your hands, dear, don’t touch your face, dear,

and stay at least 6 feet apart.

Flatten the curve, dear, we’re gonna make it,

So no one breaks my heart.

Coronavirus, Coronavirus,

You’ll make me happy, and go away.

You’ll never know, dear, how I won’t miss you,

You can’t make my friends stay away.

YOU CAN’T MAKE MY FRIENDS STAY AWAY!
