Home delivery of milk locally
I read in The Express recently about home milk deliveries, but it is in Philadelphia.
Back in the late 1950s to early 1960s in Clinton County, Sealtest Farms had home milk delivery. A Blair Aaron and Eugene Bitner Sr. were the drivers. Eugene Bitner was my dad, that is how I remember that.
I think Sealtest Farms was up near and before you cross a bridge that takes you to Central Mountain High School. There is a road there before you cross the bridge on the left. It would be nice if The Express visited something like on social media, it is called Ghoulies. We go back in time and reminisce about how Clinton County and a little of Lycoming and Centre counties use to be.
A lot of people (especially older ones who do not own a computer) would love to read and remember times passed and how it use to be with all of the businesses and stores in Lock Haven and surrounding areas.
Yes, we had home milk delivery in this area and they were not plastic bottles, they were glass bottles. And they put the empties in milk boxes on the porch or steps and they would put new ones in. Thank you for taking me back in time.
