BELLEFONTE - A Centre County jury convicted Randall Brooks, of Howard, on all charges late Friday night in the shooting of his former girlfriend's lover in December 2009.
The jury of eight men and four women deliberated for more than four hours, until nearly midnight, before returning with its verdict.
Brooks, 39, was found guilty on all counts, including attempted criminal homicide, aggravated jury tampering, intimidating a witness/victim and stalking, all felonies.
The families of both the man Brooks shot and the woman he stalked embraced.
The man and woman, who broke up shortly after the shooting, shared a moment before leaving the courtroom.
Brooks' mother, as she had done for much of the trial, was taking notes as the verdict was read.
Centre County District Attorney Stacy Parks Miller called the jury's decision a vindication for the families of the victims. "We're very happy for them - they can rest assured they are safe," she said.
