LHU Lacrosse ranked No. 6 in PSAC Poll

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University lacrosse team will begin the 2018 season tied for No. 6 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Preseason Poll.

The Haven finished last year with an overall record of 9-8 and a 6-6 PSAC record.

Leading the way for head coach Lindsay Reese is a veteran crew consisting of 10 seniors.

The Haven will return three student-athletes that tallied over 20 goals last season. Ashley Gochenaur scored 28 goals while Hayley Kilian and Karli Gilbert both recorded 20 each. Kilian also led the team last year in assists with a total of 46.

Defending PSAC Champion East Stroudsburg will enter the season ranked first as they received 10 first place votes. 2017 PSAC runner-up Mercyhurst received two votes and is No. 2 while West Chester rounds out the top three with one first place vote.

Last week, the Bald Eagles were also ranked #23 in the 2018 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches’ Association (IWLAC) Division II Preseason Poll.

Lock Haven opens the season at home on Tuesday, February 20 with a 4 p.m. game vs. Georgian Court.
