LHU Men’s Soccer falls on the road against Slippery Rock

SLIPPERY ROCK — The Lock Haven University men’s soccer team (4-3-1)(2-1)PSAC fell to Slippery Rock (3-3-1)(1-0)PSAC by a score of 3-1 on Friday.

Slippery Rock held a slight 11-10 advantage in shots, however Lock Haven led 6-0 in corners.

Lock Haven’s attack was led by Beckham Sibiski (Kutztown, Pa./Kutztown) who opened the scoring in the 12th minute after collecting a rebound and tucking it past the keeper for his team leading 5th goal.

The Bald Eagles were unable to hang on to the lead however as Slippery Rock tallied goals in the 18th 38th and 57th minutes. A strong outing from Camden Cook (Rosedale, Md./High Point) recorded five saves to keep Lock Haven in striking distance.

LHU will have a chance to rebound as Shippensburg comes to town on Sunday, September 23 (1:00 p.m.)
